Winger Seth Kumah scored an artful finish to aide Planners Athletic Club to a 2-1 win over Kukurantumi XI in a rehearsal game on Saturday afternoon.
Trialist Haruna Salihu poked home the opener from close range after finding himself in space midway through the first-half before a moment of loss of concentration cost the defence men as the visitors pulled a goal back.
Head coach Emmanuel Bulley handed starting berths to a host of trial players with Salihu leading the lines up front while Anas Atakura partnered former Ghana U23 defender Philip Gameli.
The visitors maintained an impressive showing in the opening moments as they patrolled the right flanks with committed urgency. Youngster Clement Samakor, who was the stand out player for the visitors in the opening moments, caused massive problems for the hosts defence.
The first real chance of the half fell to Salihu who was left unmarked in the enemy territory after receiving telepathic cross from fellow trialist Ishmael. But, he skied his effort in front of goal.
Meanwhile Abdul Fatiti and Patrick Asiedu continued to worked themselves into the game as they created fine chances for the strikeforce to fire down the visitors defence but the target wasn’t hit easily until a moment of magic arrived. Seth Kumah twisted and turned his marker with an application of skill which left him floored. The former Al Ain trialist tossed the ball intelligently to Salihu who was unmarked as he connected the ball home.
The second goal also arrived following a deliriously effort by Kumah who resisted a tough tackle to find his teammate who turned the ball home.
Bismark Dotse was introduced later on and he lighted up the atmosphere with a touch of silk and platinum.
