Planners hold Uncle T in Prampram

Planners Athletic Club managed to hold Uncle T United FC to a pulsating 0-0 draw in a pre-season friendly game on Sunday afternoon in Prampram.

Benjamin Osei and Seth Kumah both came close to scoring in the first-half before Enoch Afful skirted a free kick just wide in the 65th minute.

New signings Richard Osei and Hassan Hosni were both handed starting roles and they impressed in defensive and offensive roles.

Right-back Nana Opare Agyeman suffered an injury in the early stages of the second-half and was replaced by Mohammed Fatiti.

Coach Bulley named Abdul Kadel in post while Opare and Emmanuel McCarthy joined William Apenteng and Philip Gameli in defence with Enoch Afful, Joseph Ato Junior, Hassan Hosni in a three-man defensive midfield while Seth Kumah offered an offensive valve.

Richard Osei and Benjamin Osei led the attacking lines. William Apenteng displayed a commanding performance in central defence as he stopped the hosts from grabbing the lead in the 52nd and the 64th minutes. Youngster Eugene Atoko and Daniel Osafo were brought on with 15 minutes left and the duo offered threat in attack but were clattered by the high energy play of the home side.

Substitute James Boakye fired a shot at goal but his effort was stopped by the hosts keeper.
