Planners drew with Uncle T United on Sunday

Planners share spoils with Uncle T Utd in warm up friendly

Planners Athletic Club shared the spoils with Uncle T United FC in a pre-season friendly game on Sunday at the CRIG Park in New Tafo.

Coach Bulley’s side should have taken the lead twice in the first half but but striker Razak Kipo and Seth Kumah saw their efforts palmed away by the visitors’ goalkeeper.

Experienced midfielder Enoch Afful returned to the side and took over the armband as he played along with Joseph Ato Junior, Abdullah Adams Junior and James Boakye in the middle.

Afful, who watched from the sidelines in Saturday’s 3-0 hammering of non league side Abu FC, pulled the strings from the middle as he sparkled on his first game since his return.

Bulley deployed Joshua Karbo on the right side of defence while Emmanuel McCarthy held down his place on the left with Philip Gameli and Vitus Yamoah playing the central defence role.

Planners largely controlled the midfield during the entire period of the game as the visitors failed to create any scoring opportunity in the first half.

The second half saw the introduction of Daniel Osafo and Clement Samakor and the latter fired a stinking bullet at goal which was stopped by the away keeper in the dying embers of the tie.

Planners starting XI: Rashid Musah – Joshua Karbo, Emmanuel McCarthy, Philip Gameli, Vitus Yamoah – Joseph Ato Junior, Abdullah Adams Junior, Enoch Afful, James Boakye – Seth Kumah, Eric Abdul Razak Kipo.

Subs: William Apenteng 67′ for Vitus Yamoah | Clement Samakor 64′ for James Boakye | Daniel Osafo 61′ for Abdullah Adams Junior
