Planners head coach Emmanuel Bulley has expressed content with his side’s defensive mentality in their 0-0 drawn game with Uncle T United in a pre-season friendly on Sunday.
The Executioners blocked several scoring opportunities that came the way of the hosts with central defenders William Apenteng and Philip Gameli providing a strong shield.
Captain Enoch Afful and Joseph Ato Junior playing in the defensive midfield role covered the backline with solid physical presence that limited the chances of the opponents.
Coach Bulley was full of praise for Planners’ defensive mentality at the final whistle.
“I love the way we defended. We showed character and strong physical presence which is very commendable,” he said in the post match interview.
Planners should have won the day on the 76th minute but James Boakye directed his effort straight at the goalkeeper.
